Just keep…crawling?

Well helloooooooooooo there

Today has been rather interesting. You could say it was fun. More interesting than fun I guess.

I went shopping today! For the first time in a while too.

I am now a proud owner of a Ghostbusters sweater.

*giggles like a two-year-old*

My Blue Period is turning rainbow :)

(hehehehe that didn’t sound awkward at all)

ANYWAYS!

What I really wanted to tell you guys (whoever you are) about is my swimming experience today.

I went to this new gym club that my dad signed my family up for, for the first time today to go swimming. My mom was also with me to check out the pool. Thus observing the pool for about 15 seconds (I think we were looking more at the water than the surrounding area of it), we declared it ‘nice’. I was left there by myself, while my mom went to yoga 15 minutes away.

I got changed, grabbed my towel and key, and headed for the pool. Once I got to the pool, I put my stuff down, and jumped in. Normal right? NO.

HAVE YOU EVER JUMPED INTO A BATHTUB?!?!?

IT FELT THE SAME AS JUMPING INTO A BATHTUB.

Just with saltier water.

I completely missed the sign that said ’0.8m’.

The deepest part of the pool was 1.2m.

I tried to push this fact out of my mind by getting ‘Just Keep Swimming’ stuck in my head.

It didn’t help that when I did freestyle, my arms would hit the floor.

I was not swimming.

I was swim-crawling.

After 40 minutes I got fed up and decided to explore the neighborhood instead (I was in the French Concession).

This was a much better plan than swim-crawling.

I was able to get a good amount of walking done AND make fun of the guards in front of the consulates. In my head of course…

That makes me sound terrible

Okay, they do this head turning thing. They’ll look in one direction for a few seconds then slowly turn their head to look at the other direction. Trust me, if you see it, you’ll laugh. Feel free to put in dialogue too whilst watching them.

Guard 1: (slow head turn) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Guard 2: (slow head turn) DAAAAAYYYUUUUMMMM she’s hot

Guard 3: (slow head turn) WWWWHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I finally made it to the building that my mom does yoga in. On the bottom floor there’s a cafe called Ginger. I decided to stop in for some ‘afternoon tea’ while I waited for my mom. I got chrysanthemum tea with honey, and dense chocolate cake. The dense chocolate cake was pretty much a flourless brownie. IT WAS AMAZING! Definitely a highlight to my day…other than the Ghostbusters sweater.

A few jizzes later from the chocolate cake, I met up with my mom. We picked up our friends’ dog, which we are now dogsitting, and went wheeeee wheee wheee (cue Guard 3) all the way home.

Yup

It was an interesting day.

I already gave you a song a couple hours ago (and my obsessions don’t change that fast), so I’ll leave you with a picture from my adventure today.

    HAHAHAHA wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Okay :D Dude, I went swimming yesterday, and it took me about 20 minutes to gather up the courage to jump into the pool. Yeah, I tanned for about 20 minutes and then I realised that I would only be tan on my front so I had to swim because it’s awkward to tan your ass when there’s people all around you seemingly just waiting for you to flip and show off your fatass.

So I was like “okay I’ll count how many times that kid does flips, and on the tenth time I’ll jump into the pool” and then I did, and I died, and then I made my dad jump in, which made me feel more satisfied. The end.

…I think I am not made to be on the swim team -.-

OHOHOH and my favourite adventures consist of cheapass coffee shops, my camera, and lots and lots of walking. Hope you had fun in the French Concession! Love that place :D
